Professionals from across Europe gathered in Thessaloniki for the third and final session of the EAVE Producers Workshop 2025 (October 27 – November 3, 2025), the leading European training program for audiovisual professionals. The workshop was held for the first time in Northern Greece, with the support of the Region of Central Macedonia.
The new graduates of the program now join the ever-expanding EAVE network of producers, which currently counts 2,900 professionals in the global audiovisual industry.
During the EAVE Producers Workshop, more than 1,000 curated one-to one meetings took place to discuss careers and projects in depth. The event also highlighted the dynamic landscape of audiovisual production in Greece through a special session titled “Producing with Greece.”
The session featured Athena Kartalou (General Director, General Directorate of Greek Cinema, Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center – EKKOMED), Amanda Livanou (Neda Film) and Neoklis Mantas (Head of the Hellenic Film Commission, EKKOMED), and was moderated by the Greek national representative of EAVE, Konstantinos Kontovrakis.
The event also offered an excellent opportunity to promote Central Macedonia and its unique filming locations, through a presentation of the Central Macedonia Film Office delivered to the participants by the Head of Film Office Mrs Lina Mylonaki.
“The successful completion of the third and final week of the EAVE Producers Workshop 2025 in Thessaloniki seals the dynamic presence of Central Macedonia on the European audiovisual map.
Throughout the workshop, we had the opportunity to present to participants the services and potential of the Film Office Central Macedonia, further enhancing the international recognition of our region as a friendly and efficient destination for film and television productions.
The enthusiastic response from professionals and the strong partnerships developed among all stakeholders demonstrate that Central Macedonia has all the assets to evolve into a vibrant centre of cultural and film creation in Europe.
We continue to systematically invest in the development of the audiovisual sector, supporting initiatives that foster international collaborations, highlight the talent of our creators, and promote our region on a global scale,” stated Mrs Vicky Chatzivasileiou, Vice Governor for Tourism.
The third and final session of the EAVE Producers Workshop 2025 in Thessaloniki was organized by EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) and SAPOE (Greek Producers Association), in collaboration with the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and its Agora.
The workshop was supported by the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (EKKOMED), the Region of Central Macedonia (Directorate of Tourism and Film Office), ERT, COSMOTE TELEKOM, Cinobo, Oxbelly, the Athens Film Office, and Grant Thornton Greece.
