The multi-award winning film “Behind the Haystacks”, directed by Asimina Proedrou (Argonauts Productions) “swept” at yesterday’s Iris Awards of the Hellenic Film Academy, where it won 10 awards – among them the awards for best feature film, director, screenplay and photography. The film was shot at Lake Doirani and in the surrounding area of the Kilkis Regional Unit during the winter of 2021 and it was the first Greek feature film, which was supported by the Film Office-Central Macedonia.
A few days ago, the people of Kilkis welcomed the film with enthusiasm, in a packed room for its premiere screening in Kilkis, which was held as part of the 36th conference of the Panhellenic Association of Film Clubs-Greece (OKLE), in the presence of the filmmaker Asimina Proedrou. The screening and the conference were all supported by the Region of Central Macedonia and the Regional Unit of Kilkis.
