Stunning locations, wonderful films.
The “Macedonian landscape in Greek cinema” was the theme of the 36th conference of the Panhellenic Association of Film Clubs -Greece (OKLE), which was held in Kilkis and in Thessaloniki (June 16-18, 2023). The conference was organized by OKLE, in collaboration with “Techne” Macedonian Artistic Society of Kilkis and the Thessaloniki Film Club, with the support of the Region of Central Macedonia and the Regional Unit of Kilkis, under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture. The multi-award-winning film “Behind the Haystacks” by Asimina Prοedrou was the conference’s opening film.
The Film Office-Central Macedonia actively participated in the conference, presenting its work on location as a tool for extroversion and support for audiovisual productions in the Region. The reference point was the Film Office’s location guide, which offers a limitless choice of locations to attract in Central Macedonia different audiovisual projects of all types.
