As an official member of the European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN), the networking organization for European film offices and film commissions, the Film Office-Central Macedonia participated at the Marché du Film of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, one of the major film markets internationally.
The Film Office-Central Macedonia joined forces for the 2nd consecutive year with the Greek delegation in Cannes, within the framework of its cooperation with the Hellenic Film Commission/Greek Film Center(EKK).
The collaboration with the Hellenic Film Commission was recently formalized with the signing of an MOU between the Region of Central Macedonia and the Greek Film Center, which was signed by the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia Mr Apostolos Tzitzikostas, and the General Director of the Greek Film Center Mrs Athena Kartalou.
The MOU foresees, among other things, the development of joint actions, for this synergy to be a best practice, as well as a motivation for corresponding agreements with other local film offices in Greece.
