An international 3-day conference “Audiovisual and Film Literacy” (March 29-31, 2024) organized by the Chania Film Festival, in collaboration with 17 co-organizing bodies, was successfully concluded in Chania. There were 96 speakers, 12 educational workshops, and three keynote speakers in film literacy at the conference.
The Film Office Central Macedonia was represented by Mrs. Lina Milonaki (Head of Film Office), who contributed as a member of the event’s scientific committee and presented the multiple perspectives of promoting Thessaloniki as a place of a rich cinematic history but also as a film destination.
Many audiovisual institutions of Central Macedonia (Thessaloniki Film Festival/Cinema Museum, Aristotle’s University Film School, Regional Thematic Network of Film Education in Central Macedonia) joined forces to present our region’s genuine love for cinema and the mutual synergies to promote its distinct cinematic identity.
