With two networking events for audiovisual professionals, one with the Greek Film Center and one with Crew United-Greece, the Film Office-Central Macedonia is actively participating again this year in the Agora of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (2-12 November 2023). In addition, the Film Office-Central Macedonia has joined Agora’s new section ‘Ask Me Anything’, which involves targeted meetings of market participants with audiovisual industry professionals. Entry to “Ask me Anything” meetings is only for those accredited to the Festival.
The first networking event concerns the synergy between the Film Office-Central Macedonia and Crew United Greece, with the theme “Going “G-local”: Building networking strategies in the audiovisual industry”.
The panel consists of: Lina Mylonaki (Head of Film Office-Central Macedonia), Dionysia Arvanitou (Production Support Advisor & project coordinator, Film Office-Central Macedonia), Venia Vergou (Crew United Greece) & Felix Gerd Schneider (producer, Avriofilms)
The event will take place as part of the “Agora Talks” activities on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the Museum of Photography of Thessaloniki (17.00-18.00).
The next important event is the “Training Day for local professionals”, a synergy between the Film Office-Central Macedonia and the Greek Film Center (GFC), on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Greek Film Centre’s Stand in Warehouse C, at the Port (11.00-13.00).
This is a networking and information meeting, which is exclusively addressed to the local film community of Central Macedonia, that will be informed about the financial programs, online services, innovative actions and tools of the Greek Film Center.
All the departments of the Greek Film Center participate in the event. The speakers will be: Zoe Kandyla (Director of Development & Production, GFC), Gianna Sarri (Director of Promotion, GFC), Stavroula Geronymaki (Deputy Director of the Hellenic Film Commission, GFC) and Anna Kasimati (Manager of the Creative Europe MEDIA Desk-Greece).
