The Film Office-Central Macedonia participated for the second time in the Marché du Film of the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
As an official member of EUFCN (European Film Commissions Network), the Film Office-Central Macedonia participated in the Marché du Film of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, one of the major film markets internationally.
The Film Office-Central Macedonia joined forces for the second consecutive year with the Greek delegation in Cannes, within the framework of its cooperation with the Hellenic Film Commission of the Greek Film Center (GFC).
This is a collaboration, which was recently formalized with the signing of an MOU between the Region of Central Macedonia and the Greek Film Center, signed by the Governor of Central Macedonia Mr Apostolos Tzitzikostas and the General Director of the Greek Film Center Mrs Athena Kartalou.
The MOU foresees, among other things, the development of joint actions, in order for this synergy to be a model and motivation for corresponding agreements with the other local film offices in Greece.
As emphasized in the MOU, “the Film Office-Central Macedonia utilized the framework and expertise of the Hellenic Film Commission and it developed practices and actions, which can be characterized as good practices for our country in general, giving the lead in relation to other similar structures that started to develop later in other Greek Regions”.
