The film Behind the Haystacks of Asimina Proedrou is one of the 10 film titles of this year’s special program Europe! Voices of Women, a mosaic of diverse female creativity in Europe today, with which European Film Promotion travels for the eighth year to the Sydney Film Festival from 7 to 18 June 2023, promoting European cinema in Australia.
Asimina Proedrou has been invited to Sydney to present her film to the Festival audience. The Greek Film Center, which actively participates in EFP, congratulates her.
“We thank the Festival for the platform it provides to 10 films from the most promising European directors,” says EFP CEO Sonja Heinen. “With films from Italy to Denmark and from Ireland to Estonia, this program acts as a platform for the diverse experiences and narratives of European women,” says SFF director Nashen Moodley.
