As an official member of the European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN), the networking platform of European film offices and commissions, the Film Office-Central Macedonia participated again this year in the Marché du Film of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, one of the major film markets internationally.
The Film Office – Central Macedonia joined forces for the second consecutive year with the Greek delegation in Cannes, within the framework of its cooperation with the Hellenic Film Commission of the Greek Film Center (EKK).
It is a collaboration, which was recently formalized with the signing of an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Region of Central Macedonia and the Greek Film Center, which was signed by the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia Mr Apostolos Tzitzikostas and the General Director of the Greek Film Center Mrs Athena Kartalou.
The agreement foresees, among other things, the development of joint actions, in order for this synergy to be a model and motivation for corresponding agreements with other local film offices in Greece.
