The Thessaloniki Animation Festival (TAF) celebrated its 9th year from October 21st to 24th, 2023, at the Port (Warehouse D) and digitally from October 25th to 30th, 2023. This edition featured a film anthology from the American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs) in collaboration with Teddy Grouya, AmDocs’ founder.
Additionally, a special tribute from the Anibar Animation Festival in Kosovo aimed to strengthen the animation industry and promote social awareness.
The festival included the 4th Balkan Animation Pitching Forum (BAF), allowing Balkan creators to present projects to industry professionals, with three winners receiving awards.
The 9th TAF was supported by the Film Office-Central Macedonia, which received an honorary award for its outstanding and impactful partnership with TAF. The award was received by the Vice Governor of Tourism Mrs Christina Goula.
