A visit to New York and contacts with members of the Community, Greek-American investors, as well as executives of the US aviation and film industry, for the New York-Thessaloniki air connection and in view of the construction of the new film studios in Thermi, was carried out by the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia Mr Apostolos Tzizikostas.
During his stay in New York, Mr. Tzitzikostas visited the film facilities of York Studios where he met with the owner of the company, mr John Kalafatis .
The Regional Governor had the opportunity to be informed in detail about the facilities of the company’s modern studios, which host world-leading audio-visual productions.
During their meeting, Mr. Tzitzikostas and Mr. Kalafatis discussed about the prospects of Central Macedonia in the field of film productions. After all, with the initiative of the administration of the Region and the Film Office, which was the first in Greece to be launched and to operate, Central Macedonia has already entered the world map of audiovisual productions.
